Greatbatch Guesthouse is a historic building designed by Daniel Westwood Greatbatch in the early 1890's as his residence. Second visit point on Belgravia historic walk. He was responsible for the design of various buildings in Kimberley. All rooms are en-suite and have coffee/tea making facilities and colour DSTV. Photos of some of the more famous designs are displayed in the rooms and include some of Timlina's finest artwork: A Ship that sailed to Marsa and an original letter written on behalf of the ladies social club in Kimberley to a friend dated 26 November 1914. In the Dining Room are photos of De Beers Mining Company as well as some of the influential men of that time. Play a game of pool or use of the Internet in the Saloon or just enjoy a cold beer. Diggers Den Dormitory has a mining atmosphere for Backpackers or school groups. Guests have lockers, cap lamps as bed lights and the ablution facility depicting mining life in early years. The lapa with braai and bauma is next to the swimming pool. Or relax in the tea garden with an abundance of birds.
